If it’s Trent + 1frp, that FRP better have some stront protections on it.
I’d actually be more interested in a Lowry reunion but he would have to be willing to make the move back and see promise in this squad (Which is not crazy to think of, I am still a firm believer that if he predicted how good we were in 21/22 he would have been more likely to stay but that’s life)

I’d be all over Herro for Gary, Filler + 1 x FRP. 20ppg scorer who is elite from three.

Herro has enough playmaking to make point Scottie an actual thing.
You can’t just have Scottie and Pascal being the only guys that can create for other (although seems like Schroeder can be that guy). But need more then 3 guys lol. Pretty much need 2 of those 3 on at all times, which is not realistic for a full season. Adding a 4th guy makes sense.

If Masai pulls this off all will be forgiven regarding the Thad trade and the Yak trade actually makes way more sense. Even if it costs Gary, which would be sad, Herro solves the ball handling and spacing issues that plagued last years team. The 2027 is available so we could send that or forfeit the protections on the 2024 and have the 2025 and 2026 available instead.

Tyler Herro’s percentage of the cap is set to decrease over his next 4 guaranteed years, staying at around 19% of the total team salary.
He is a 98th percentile perimeter shooter, and a 92nd percentile finisher. Ancillary skill wise he is an above average play-maker and defensive rebounder (finishing in the 72nd and 75th percentile respectively)
Speaking towards the eye test, he is a strong pull up shooter who has the ability to get to the front of the rim and finish (also quite good in the clutch). The Raptors could really use this kind of player.
