  1. Center level efficiency in the mid range has KD ranked much higher than he should be. I hate to say it but there is 0 reasons as to why Luka and AD are lower than KD. But you’ve been high on KD over the past couple KD years. Recently stating that he is the best player in the league (I think during this season)

Also not hating not a fan of any of these players. Only a fan of the game.

Even though I think you’re wrong in this situation I love the content

  2. 1st – I don't have a problem with your ranking of KD – and I agree with everything you've said about his game. KD is and incredible all around shooter (AAS).

One question though… When you compared him to Jokic – you said "significantly higher volume" and that seemed to be your argument for KD being better AAS… But… on avg in the last 3 seasons – Jokic had 17 FGA and KD had 18… I don't see anything "significant" there. Nor I can see a lot of difference between 26.2 PTS (Jokic) vs 27.4 (KD) during the same period. KD does have 1.2 more FTAs and 9% higher FT%… and that's it (covers for 1 pt difference and helps KDs TS number).

And when I look at the other numbers Jokic looks slightly to significantly better across the board (as a shooter/scorer).
    ?

  3. KD's ballhandling in traffic, lack of passing and playmaking, and lack of scoring resiliency against great physical defenses are clear weaknesses in my book but everyone outside of the obvious top 3 also has clear weaknesses comparable to KD's so I can;t critique the ranking much.

  4. Number 3 has to be Steph doesn't it? I don't know. If he wasn't number 1 last year when they won it all, why does he have to be 3? Actually, I could go with 2 strictly on the basis of making his team better at the very highest possible level. Ok, he's not number 1 because that goes with the NBA title. But, what about last year?

  5. Lol. Nobody is numb regarding lebron. In fact.

Lebron is constantly in the mouths of media and his fans non stop. Even when he did nothing.

  6. You're focusing on a very specific sample size on the true shooting. Jokic had a ts% of 70% while kd had a ts% of 68% this past season.

  7. When I saw Lebron at 6 or whatever I didn’t expect KD to be up here. My mans could only get it done with 3 other hall of famers in their prime. One being the 2 time mvp.

  8. JASON IS DEF BIASED AGAINST TATUM!! how he talks abt players' post effectiveness is an example of how it shows up. here are the facts:

embiid posted up 4.5 times a game. kd posted up 2 times a game. jt posted up 1.5 times a game
jt scored 1.22 ppp. kd scored 1.15 ppp. embiid scored 1.13

now here's how he talked abt each guy:

    – w tatum he says he was a good (not great) post up player but didn't do it enough so cant rly give him credit for that. n said it in context of tatum's lack of variety in his shot selection
    – w embiid he said he was top 10 amongst guys w at least 300 post ups.
    – w kd he said he was #7 in the league amongst guys w at least 100 post ups

*so doesn't mention tatum is tied for 2nd w jokic in post effectiveness w at least 100 post poss. instead dismisses it as inconsequential
*then qualifies embiid's top 10 status in post efficiency w at least 300 post ups bc he wouldnt be top 10 if he hadn't. so im thinking thats his bench mark
*but then w kd uses the qualification of at least 100 possessions to mention kd's 7th in the league in post efficiency. a stat tatum qualifies for but he conveniently left out in tatums breakdown even tho both jt n kd post up a v similar amount relative to embiid.

idk if its bc he's a west coast guy or what but the bias is def there. this is 1 of many examples

  9. Wow J. Amazing job as always at the end when I do my list comparison this is the only in the same spot thus far. Really enjoying your breakdowns. Admittedly I'm a Steph guy so banking that you have him at 2 but that's jumping ahead lol👊🏿

  10. i always say where i disagree bc thats more interesting to me but got to give credit – this is one of the best basketball podcast out. thats why im in the comments so heavy

  11. I respect Jason's opinion, but damn, he's off the grid with a few of these placings. Nerd Sesh guys are still terrible but Jason got me scratching my beard. 😅

  12. I'm sorry, book was actually better than KD in the playoffs, and he's 10th in ur list.

Rim pressure, physical defense, average playmaker (makes a lot of turnovers when being guarded physically).

Overrated in a sense of best skill, once his pull up is off, he's done.
