In a recent statement Nowell said this. Not only would this make him the best shortest player in the NBA but he would have to average electric numbers to even get close to the career leaders for the raptors. Do you think he even has a chance of this? Will he even make a regular season start next year?

Love to see the confidence and ambition. It’s impossible not to root for this guy
But his height is an issue in the modern NBA. I can’t see him having a long career in the NBA. But I will be supporting our rookie and delighted to be proved wrong

I wish every player on the team were as openly hungry.
We all look forward to him backing up his words. Or, at least, trying his best to.
I appreciate his zeal but words are wind. Let your game and actions do the talking.
He will be lucky to get consistent playing time. In college his eFG% was lower than Fred’s was last year. Guys usually drop in the NBA. So if he struggled to score on college guys, he’s going to have even more trouble in the NBA where even the smallest guy is like 5 inches taller than him. Like, 6′ player next to him will be like Giannis next to a 6’5 player. And that’s just the smallest guys next to him.
I dunno fam…. This guy is quickly becoming my fav Raptor. Stay hungry brother!
