SOMEHOW… Everyone Has Lost The Ben Simmons James Harden Trade
The Ben Simmons James Harden trade between the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers in February of 2022 is a crazy trade to look back on, mostly because everybody lost.
Philly won the deal, at first. At this point, there are no winners. If anything, this may be the beginning of the end of competitive basketball in Philly. I HATED the "process" and thought it was just pathetic, but it lead to SOMETHING. The Sixers just screwed up along the way with coaching, front office moves, etc.
Philly may have to bite the bullet and trade Harden for a bag of chips and some picks and let Embid figure it out. When that fails, they will have to trade him and the process will begin again.
Im a philly fan with facebook posting proof that I thought james harden was bad for the city and him quitting wasnt surprising to me at all. Our city is delusional. Sixers management have always been terrible.
Nets won, the way it turned out. Got a good Philly pick. Then it led to KD wanting out where they got some of the best future picks in the league PLUS Bridges who could be flipped for 2-3 MORE picks if they wanted to instead of keeping KD who is very much declining and even at his peak couldn’t lead a team to a title.
Man, it's beyond comprehension how players can sign a contract of millions to play ball, refuse to play and that's it, teams must figure it out… They should not get a single penny more and have their contract suspended, so they can't play anywhere else until traded or back in court.
As a Philly fan. Of course i expected Harden to do the same thing as Simmons. He did it in Houston and would've done it in Brooklyn had that trade not gone thru
Philadelphia lost the series to Atlanta and lost a lot of scoring from Ben Simmons couldn't be more open minded to missing more open shots in the entire game, Tyrese Haliburton should be an option to played with Maxey and Hield!

Not really surprising when everyone in the trade was overvalued like crazy

I disagree, the Rockets have somehow won it.
sixers management has never been good since the Barkley era…

Im starting to hate the the NBA. The players are spoiled brats
Brooklyn
Harden and Embid disappeared when they needed to show up the most. That game 1 doesn't give Harden a pass for the rest of the series.
Guys who demand a trade from one team are far more likely to demand a trade from their new team.
Rockets fans rn: 👀🍿☕️
Nets won that trade
