The Toronto Raptors shocked the league when they became the front page of NBA media for all the wrong reasons. Yesterday it was revealed that the New York Knicks were SUING the Toronto Raptors and one of their former employers for disclosure of ‘proprietary information’.
ikechukwu Azotam became the star in the case as he is the employee in question after leaving the Knicks just a week ago to join the Masai Ujiri’s staff for the 2023-2024 season.
Questions will now be asked about the validity of the statements and alleged reports made against the Raptors and also how the NBA will intervene and potentially punish the franchise in the future.
Masai Ujiri and Bobby Webster were already in a tough spot, but this could push MLSE over the edge on their previously coveted front office,

I was waiting for this video
I just read more details. So this employee was working for the Knicks and told them he will be taking a job with the raptors the following season and during his time with the Knicks he was downloading files. They didn’t realize it until the day after he left. Either the Knicks are completely incompetent, whom keeps an employee going to work for their competition that long? How is it that entire time he was there they didn’t notice this? Is there more to the story?
Also don’t think the nba is involved. Are they launching an investigation? Sounds like a civil lawsuit for now anyways
James Dolan is probably tired of getting finessed by Masai in trades, hence why the Knicks sued.

Why do you panic so much? Raptors are in big trouble? Give me a break. How can they lose draft picks? The NBA is not investigating? It's a law suite. The job is going to offer draft picks?

While criticizing the front office you obviously understate the fact that it’s not a free agent destination. That hurdle alone is an insurmountable obstacle for any team of executives to undertake. 🤷🏾♂️
