Before his injuries, HS Looney comparison to KD was legit, maybe a little Giannis Lite even. Long wingspan, good midrange game, willingness to work in the paint and good defensive awareness. His injuries altered his body and his game but his BBIQ developed even further with this team. If Chris Paul ABSOLUTELY demands to be a starter on this team, no doubt Looney would be fine with sitting on the bench. Consummate teammate and a favorite among coaches, Looney has carved his place into this dynasty.

It’s really not that mind blowing. Basically every nba player will have had really impressive stats in high school. These guys are sooo far ahead of even your average hooper. Pat Bev averaged like 30+ ppg in high school.
When you get to the league you gotta have guys who know their role and play it. There’s only one ball – not many shots up for grabs when you’re playing with Steph, Klay, KD, Poole, Wiggins, etc.. Looney is the definition of a glue guy. Dominates the boards, plays great defense, great screener – all very undervalued things.
