ANYTIME your a professional Athlete and your not being represented by a respected Agent & find yourself in a situation where you have GM’s attempting to “ Befriend “ you. I would ask myself, How many other players have CLOSE relationships with GM’s…? Then I would ask myself what makes me so special that ANY GM would want to befriend me…? The fact that GM & Player relationships are not really a thing Genuinely. The Player GM relationship is usually understood to be a business relationship in nature. So GM’s asking players to take a pay cut to help the organization is a PERSONAL favor as it only benefits the team’s leadership and Ownership. Taking a GM’s word in negotiating is like taking the word of a salesman who you have asked to hold an item for you to purchase another day. The second the salesman is offered a better deal the original deal is void. So having the agreement is essential and ultimately Doesn’t exist if not agreed upon in writing… How James is a graduate of High School and doesn’t understand that is pretty disappointing to say the least. As an adult who’s been doing business in the NBA for years now He should really know better…!!!! After the season before last where Schroeder missed out on about 63 Million he should have been more aware of the atmosphere in the league and noticed how capable players were losing out on money in negotiations not securing the original contracts set on the table by organizations.!!!

Congratulations on the marriage. I don't have any sympathy for James Harden, for a few reasons & while I don't like his style of play, that doesn't factor in why I feel that way. The reasons are because he's a player that evert time is tough he leaves, unlike LeBron though he doesn't finish his contract he whines & complains while not showing up ready for work until he's traded. On top of that he finally decides on prioritizing winning so he takes a pay cut the gets upset he isn't making enough money & also can't be traded. Because he puts up empty numbers & if he doesn't like it he'll start partying more & playing less making it harder getting rid of him. If you can get rid of him it will be for intrinsically less value than you got them for. Because the next team will realize he's not a winning player, he has a terrible attitude & frankly isn't worth taking a risk on at this point…
