Led by Stephen Curry’s 31 points and 8 assists, the No. 6 seed Golden State Warriors defeated the No. 3 seed Sacramento Kings in Game 5, 123-116. Klay Thompson (25 points) and Draymond Green (21 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals) added a combined 46 points for the Warriors in the victory, while De’Aaron Fox tallied 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists for the Kings. The Warriors lead this best-of-seven series, 3-2, with Game 6 taking place on Friday, April 28 (8:00 p.m. ET, ESPN).

Stephen Curry is now the 5th player in NBA history (6th instance) with 3 straight 30+ point games at age 35 or older, joining:
Michael Jordan (05/10/1998 – 05/23/1998): 5 Games
Michael Jordan (04/24/1998 – 05/03/1998): 4 Games
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (04/24/1983 – 05/01/1983): 4 Games
LeBron James (08/22/2020 – 08/29/2020): 3 Games
Reggie Miller (04/24/2001 – 05/02/2001): 3 Games

De’Aaron Fox (150 points, 37 assists, 31 rebounds) is the first player in NBA history to total 150 points+, 30+ assists, and 30+ rebounds in their first 5 career Playoff games.

Tonight marks the first time that Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green all scored 20 or more points in a Playoff game since May 16, 2016 vs the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Kevon Looney is the first Warrior with multiple 20+ rebound games in a single Playoff series since Nate Thurmond (1972, Western Conference Semifinals vs. The Bucks)

Tonight’s win in Sacramento gives the Warriors 28 straight Playoff series with a road win. The only other team that has a streak of 20 series or more with a road win is the Miami Heat, who had 23 straight series from 2011-20.

  1. The three best players for Golden State💪
were Draymond 📷Green, Payton🍿 Jr. and
Klay 🎬Thompson for Game 5. As we all know the Kings arena is by far one of the toughest venues to play in because their crowd gets so loud and crazy. Seeing Monk produce points
and play aggressively getting to hoop is what Monks game is all about. Sabonis looked ready in Game 5, made adjustments to where he could slam the basketball down hard and finally got at least 1 jumper to fall. Where would Kings be without Foxx. De Aaron will be a hall of famer someday if he keeps playing at this brilliant pace. He's already proving every single time how much he enjoys every challenge. When the game is on the line
we see the best De🙏 Aaron Foxx that we can think of. His three point shooting has been the key to Kings success and Keegan Murray's 👏defense has held up well for a rookie in playoffs. Even when Keegan doesn't block a shot he is still contesting attempts multiple possessions in a game. If Kings 🔑feed off the great vibes and energy they might force a Game 7 🤞back in Sacramento. But the one thing they must do as a unit is not have anyone getting into foul trouble or fouling out of a game. Keeping every Kings player on floor for Game 6 will be critical. They will have chances to win at the Chase Center but Warriors are playing Championship ready basketball. That could be a reason for them getting back to the Finals again if they cruise threw entire Western Conference in playoffs.

  2. Loved how the Dubs slowed the game down. Hope they can keep the Kings from sprintin down the court tonight cause those young dudes are as fast as that freakin purple beam!! Young knuckleheads are comin though… Look out league!

  3. Warriors if you lose you brought it on yourself because the team players are playing so terrible undisciplined not Excuting on offense and defense against the kings

  4. 3 Years Ago I Suggest Draymond Green To be a Power Forword. He Should be always a Powerfowrd. Great game Draymond.

  5. Show off curry ran out of luck . Before the game they were jumping and high fiveing like a bunch of 💩🤡

  6. The warriors should give the fans their money back for the egg they laid tonight. They came out flat, played slow and looked lazy at times. You would think an experienced championship team would do everything to put the nail in the coffin.. but not the Warriors. Instead they're headed back to Sacramento for game 7. I swear, this team more than other team frustrates the hell out of me.

  7. NBA is fooling us all: The game was fixed: insider sources. Teams already decided the outcome and they win heavy bets

  8. I knew the game was over as soon as I saw a commercial in the 1st quarter saying Warriors/Kings game 7 this Sunday.
……I guess my tv told me the future.

  9. Warriors best the Kings — 7 trillion 5 hundred thousand and 23 to 7 trillion 5 hundred thousand and 16. Good game to both teams!

  10. So sad man, fuck the golden state warriors forreal, their a big reason I don't believe in God like why let them keep winning? We won't the nba to keep going not die out with all your old ass pieces of shit. Fuck the warriors forreal
