Pippen is my pick. Scottie had aggrasive defense and i feel was a better leader. Better teacher his team mates respected. Fierce competitive player. To me pippen wanted to win. Every game he played he was a part of the win. He just had more heart. My opinion of james is ok. Too many times he showed lack of determination. He was not a killer. Pippen played with a killer. He played with perfection. LeBron was soposed to perfection but lacked what pippen had. Pippen played as a team player. He understood what it took to win. Pippen knew the bench was valuable. He understood the game and had a great coaching staff. LeBron never excited me. I dis liked his decision on team hopping. But that dont mstter to the conversatio. What matters is what i said about pippen. Im bias to this as pippen by popular vote will lose. He not as liked as LeBron. So i choose to vote by what they brought to the entier team. Pippen hands down. Pippen has defense. LeBron has ok defense. Pippen wins defense. LeBron is a better shooter down low. But pippens defense will hold him a couple more times then he stopped pippen. So pippen wins. LeBron won on assist. Too much too say. I love pippen on this 1 on 1. My opinion is all. I watched every bulls game thanks to wgn. I took time off work to watch nba. I wont or didn't watch much of James. He never made me interested liked scottie and them bulls. I also put 96 against any team. Period. Hands down that was a complete team and coaches… Bulls fan for life…
It's sad that Pippen had to play at a harder era. The guy literally got concussions playing against the Bad Boys. Lebron takes this easy though. Lebron's kryptonite are smaller guards like Barea and Scottie played in a physical era defense. When your best asset against a multiple time champion is your defense in a different era then I really don't see any way Pippen takes this. His one key asset – defense is negated by the fact that Lebron is one of the smartest pure athlete on the planet and in a high stakes game – I would rather have someone like prime Shane Battier in the current rule set than Pippen. Scottie has fumbled the ball before in HS scenario, is at best a 2 way player with no history of scoring burst unlike T-Mac and he's facing the most battle tested version of Lebron (mentally).
Been loving reading the break downs so far. Thank you guys. As for me, as much as I know Scottie is the superior defender and really had a better career than some may remember….prime LeBron James was just too tough to overlook. I have to go with LeBron simply because he could do a few things offensively that Scottie was not always comfortable doing and Scottie really wasn't a guy that could take over the game from an offensive perspective late in games in my opinion.
