Wemby is definitely not a generational talent, you being abnormally tall does NOT = talent.
He is ok, maybe even decent. But he is NOT a generational talent.
He is at best only 6'2 not 6'4
I know I sound crazy to some but if I was the Spurs I would have seriously considered flipping the rights to Wemby for a mega package centered around scoot and picks.
Especially if it was Charlotte.
Meló Cant stay healthy and as a PT I can tell you this. Wemby Is not meant to last in the nba. It’s one thing if you’re long in the arms. But this kid is so disproportionate in his lower half that i hold my breath every time he jumps.
If Spurs got scoot and a ton of picks plus one other player for wemby I would 100 percent take it.
Scoot is not super tall but his strength and athleticism makes up for it. He’s long in the arms but built proportionate in the lower body.
I would bet a lot that SA not only would profit short term from that sort of trade but long term I bet a lot of those Charlotte picks would be very valuable.
If either wemby or melo get hurt yiu have a top 5 pick. Plus the picks you already got from hawks. Plus your own.
You could build a super team around scoot. And what is even crazier is this have salary cap plus a good young core already.

He needs to get out of his current situation fast if he wants any national exposure or success. Portland is a graveyard of potential careers. He could average 40/20/15 and there would be 2 nationally televised games and no one willing to play with him. Zero awards. Its just that bad of a market. Take the QO Scoot!
