Ayton’s not a bust, he’s disgruntled in Phoenix because the Suns don’t have the right team composition to maximize his skill-set. He would thrive in Portland under Scoot and Sharpe. Comparing Deandre’s past in Phoenix to his potential in Portland is apples to oranges. Ayton is in the Scoot-Sharpe timeline and fills the front court need, he’s the best trade return available.
I like scoot but it always scares me thinking these young guys will be as loyal as dame has been.
