[Fentress] If Portland and a team other than Miami hammered out a deal, sources say Lillard would show up to his new team, do his job and play to the best of his abilities. But his desire to go to Miami would not dissipate. He would be seeking to get out of his new team the very same day.

> Anyone who has listened to his rap music knows that overcoming obstacles, including disrespect, is a common theme.

> So then, how would he respond to an NBA team stepping into this situation to force him to play for it when he wants to go to Miami? Probably not well.

> Of course, Lillard wouldn’t be the first star player to land where he didn’t want to play. **If the Blazers and a team other than Miami hammered out a deal that Portland deemed more desirable than what they could acquire through dealing with the Heat, sources say Lillard would show up to his new team, do his job and play to the best of his abilities.**

> But his desire to go to Miami, sources say, would not dissipate. As Charania stated, that trade demand would still exist. He would be seeking to get out of wherever he found himself the day he arrived.

> That includes the Blazers, who begin training camp Oct. 3.

> **If Lillard remains on the roster, he will attend training camp. If the Blazers want to suit him up, he will play.** But he won’t be happy about it. He wants to win, and the Blazers are headed in the wrong direction for that to be a realistic goal in Portland.

The messaging is so strange here. Yes he’ll play and be professional but he’ll what… be unhappy? What is the threat?

It’s always interesting to me when I see grown millionaire men throw little hissy fits when they don’t get their way lol.

Having said that it’s Fentress so who knows.

Heat Culture aside. Dame’s desire to relocate to Miami Fucking Florida is costing him serious legacy points in my eyes. Like some New Jersey ass grampa.

I legit do not care anymore. I pray this ends soon

I don’t know who is a bigger POS at this point. Dame and Fentress keep telling on themselves.

At this point I just want Cronin to drag it out and inflict pain.

No one is handling this well at all. I don’t agree with how Dame has been going about it but also if Cronin and the blazers didn’t actually plan to try and go for it with Dame they should have traded him.

If they knew they wanted to go young and go with Scoot that’s fine but how did you not have s framework for a trade in place before you drafted Dames replacement? That’s just stupid management of assets

I think Goodwin meant for this to come across a lot more threatening than it actually does.

Dame, you need a new agent my guy.

He wants to win but says no matter what team he gets traded to he would still request to be traded to the Heat?

    Serious chump stuff if true

If the FO truly doesnt want to entertain a deal with Miami, then all this is doing is ensuring Dame stays on a bad blazers team for longer..

  11. likpoper

What nonsense. I don’t believe this is dame for one sec

  12. Natural_Stranger_267

Too bad Miami doesn’t really want him given what they put on the table.

And if you ask him to the prom he’ll say yes, but he’ll probably wish that Johnny had asked him instead. You probably shouldn’t even try

The same very day?!?! *clutches pearls*

Dame balled out for 10 years in Portland. He wants out. Sometimes life sucks, but I get it.
