Surprised Malika didn't bring up Hitler when she talks about Germany
😂😂😂😂
how stupid to ask him who the real world champion is ? Germany or Denver Nuggets? Americans really think their national league is the center of the world
The term "world champions" is colloquially used in the context of the NBA, but it's a misnomer. When an NBA team wins the NBA Championship, they are often referred to as "world champions" due to the league's high level of competition and global popularity. However, this does not mean they have competed against national teams from around the world.
In sports like basketball, there are separate competitions for club teams and national teams:
For Club Teams: In basketball, the NBA Championship is the pinnacle for club teams in North America. The winner of this championship is often referred to as the "world champion," but this is more of a traditional or colloquial title.
For National Teams: The FIBA Basketball World Cup and the Olympic basketball tournament are the premier competitions for national teams. The winner of these tournaments can truly be called the "world champion" in the context of national teams.
So, to clarify:
An NBA team, like the Denver Nuggets, can win the NBA Championship and be colloquially referred to as "world champions," but they are not champions in the context of national team competition.
A national team, like Germany's basketball team, cannot be NBA champions because they don't compete in the NBA. They can, however, compete for titles in tournaments like the FIBA Basketball World Cup or the Olympics.
Lil baby.. do I gotta kick Dave’s 👨🏻🦰ass?? I know he didn’t bust your lip? DV Or I’m trippin??
This demon still in espn? Good Lord.
Funny thing is that the Denver Nuggets is led by a serbian and a canadian.
This girl is so terrible. 😂 😲 😱
NBA trophy is not the world FIBA world cup is the real world champion..
Malika Andrews 🥱
here we go again with these questions…😑
Did they cry with pride when denver nugget won? Or cried in joy because they won the betting?
There were times when the US Olympic trials for say the 100 m dash was more competitive than the Olympic 100 m dash. This was before the Jamaicans made it big in track. However, winning the US nationals none of those American athletes dared say they were world Olympic champions already.
Malika made a mistake asking that question. However, it's not her fault, this is more to create a narrative and keep this nonsense subject. All journalists and peole that love sports with basic levels of intelligence knows the meaning of World Champions!
Lakers, Celtics, Warriors are clubs, they will be a World Champion the day that FIBA introduce a competition where the NBA winner can play against the Champion of Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.
The same FIFA does for the soccer clubs like Real Madrid (which is the currently world champion)
"Who has the true claim to "World Champion" – Germany or Nuggets?" Has anybody seen the Nuggets play at the World Championship at all? Question answered 😉 If one wanted to know which is the better team, let them both play a series against each other and find out! 😁But it still wouldn't be a serious comparison, since a national team is not playing a whole season together like a NBA team. But people always liked an will like to compare apples with oranges. Or Bagles with Prezels …
FIRE MALIKA ASAP
A question "Who has (the) true claim to "World Champion" – Germany or Nuggets?" That is a really STUPID thing to ask! Period!
Classy dude…I am happy for him but I wish he would have stayed with the Lakers.
Of course let’s not interview any of the other German players bc they don’t have a certain complexion. And it doesn’t fit with woke mission of woke ESPN.
Malika fishing for that "World Champions" soundbite is an L
“Suck it up and be who you are.” We have to respect this bro.
Love this man. Our leader for years through good and bad times!
Dont do Dennis dirty like that with your dirty questions… World cup is where national teams play… its simple.
americans are s2pid and arrogant. you have more than a trillion dollars in debt to the world. lucky for usa the foreign exchange is dollar.
is denver a country? that is not a world. yeah skilled players get invited in nba but nba is an american league.
what if people stopped watching nba and it becomes wnba–dead boring? it will no longer have top players? nba will cease to exists but fiba will still be there because it is every countrys pride
Question about "World Champion" was a good trolling.😂😂😂. Malika still on her position NBA world champion.
This player showed a lot of class and elegance by answering a question that is a no brainer. Lakers loss by far.
