> The Atlanta Hawks were considered the team with the most trade interest in Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam over the summer.

> While talks for Siakam centered around De’Andre Hunter, AJ Griffin, and draft pick compensation never materialized, there was a young player the Hawks didn’t want to include that’s worth noting should the teams revisit trade discussions.

> The Hawks were unwilling to part with rookie guard Kobe Bufkin in trade talks for Siakam, league sources told HoopsHype. Coach Quin Snyder is said to be high on the former Michigan guard, who averaged 19.3 points on 51.9 percent shooting overall and 45 percent from beyond the arc with 5.6 rebounds in his final eight games as a Wolverine.

Hawks can’t be serious. Didn’t want to trade a non lottery pick for an all nba player? Weird

    Lmao

Yeah sure, dump the Jesus freak on us who can’t play defense but don’t include the guy we allegedly promised to draft before Gradey fell to 13

My guess is they want to save face. When Tre demands a trade and they’re left with KB they can tell him (and themselves) that they chose him over Siakam.

  4. Is this the new, “Lakers unwilling to part with THT”

Well Siakam was telling everyone he wasn’t going to sign an extension elsewhere so he tanked his value

The unwillingness to include Bufkin is probably due Siakam being unwilling to sign an extension anywhere else, but If I’m the Hawks I’d call the bluff. If he’s traded there, the Hawks would be able to offer him the most out of any team in FA

Hunter (salary filler, but still a solid player), Bruno Fernando (the Hawks 3rd string C, purely there for the trade to work) Griffin, Bufkin + picks would be a very good return for Siakam on an expiring deal

Yeah but Masai is unreaonable with his asks. Teams offer dogshit, get turned down, and then leak Masai has unfair asking prices to the media lmao

Pascal was def close to being traded this summer. I don’t know how fo is comfortable with him going to free agency after they just shopped him

Hawks are so stupid. That would have made them a legit contender that has as good a chance as anyone to win it all. That kid will be playing most of his minutes in the g league this year.

Bufkin is the truth man, yall don’t know. He shot 50/40/90 for like >80% of the season, only the first 5/33 games were tough. Good defensively, good size, good athleticism, decent vision, elite rim finishing… I like him as a prospect better than Griffin tbh.
