Giannis Antetokounmpo on his future with the Milwaukee Bucks: “I’m a Milwaukee Buck, but most importantly I’m a winner. … If there is a better situation for me to win the Larry O’Brien I have to take that better situation.”

Seems like Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to leave the door open to leaving the Milwaukee Bucks next off-season.

Bucks fans will try to spin this somehow… bro is out of there

  2. JG951519

I believe he’s said this for the past like 4 years or so lol

  3. Next-Firefighter-753

Don’t ever believe they’ll always stay. That’s how you get your heart ripped out Kano style.

    Been there done that

  4. Neuroxex

I love how, by the the title you gave this, you really wanted to push ‘He gone’ but were too lazy to edit the clip to cut out the bit where he says as long as the team is pushing in the right direction he’ll stay.

  5. Cheechers23

This man knows this Bucks team is old and doesn’t have many years left as a contender as currently built lol

  6. Human_Sack

This roster is not good enough to win a championship and there are few options to improve it in the short-term. Giannis won Milwaukee a championship so it’s really not going to be a KD situation if he leaves, I don’t think.

He will be on the Thunder within a couple years

“You guys know I have two other brothers who you haven’t thrown money at yet this offseason, right?”

  9. KyrieLS777

People will say he’s already gone, but he’s probably just putting pressure on the organization and understandably so.

If you’re running to every situation that gives you the best chance to win, that doesn’t make you a winner, it makes you KD.

    Giannis also said:

“At the end of the day, if the Milwaukee Bucks organization, which is the same thing I’ve said every single year I’ve been with the bucks, as long as we are in for a championship, as long as nobody comfortable, as long as everybody sacrifice the same amount of time and sweat and blood that I’ve sacrificed for this city to win a championship, we are all good. The moment I feel like people are complacent and are ok…. no, no, no, no way. By being comfortable I can not reach my full potential… as long as we play and we approach the game every single day the right way and we all sacrifice for a common goal, I can see myself being in Milwaukee Bucks for the rest of my career.”

This needed to be stated in the OP as well.

  12. the way the media talks about and treats small/mid-market teams is honestly disgusting.

That male individual is no longer in proximity to us

  14. Icy-Lime-9760

Why does everyone think this means he’s planning on leaving? Seems to me he’s just putting pressure on his team to continue to remain competitive and not get complacent

Would I ever leave this company? Look, I’m all about loyalty. In fact, I feel like part of what I’m being paid for here is my loyalty. But if there were somewhere else that valued loyalty more highly, I’m going wherever they value loyalty the most.

the bucks will be doodootrash in 2 years, giannis is high tailing it out of there.

  17. If you’re a winner why does it matter where you go?

Friendship ended with Damian Lillard, now Giannis Antetokounmpo is my new best friend

Bucks take comfort in knowing that any team that wants Giannis still needs to clear out a starter, a bench, and a 2-way spot.

  20. rocket_beer

    He’s going to the Lakers.

    AD is getting shipped out.

the man knows exactly what lebron knew… It doesnt matter how great you are if you dont have multiple rings you will never be in contention to be the goat. Its stupid and moronic that we know the greatness of these players and they are forced to team jump because of guys like Jordan/Kobe etc who had talent around them the majority of their careers and had easier routes to win and got a ton of rings because of said talent around them.

  22. This mf joining the lakers replacing Lebron. Smh.

  23. Handiesandcandies

Makes sense, he needs to lay the foundation for his lakers signing next year with Lebron winding down ^/s
