If he was sourius about his game he'd be working with Dennis Rodman on his defense and Magic on his offense. Hopefully Darko can develop him
I don't understand why so many Raptors fans expect Scottie to save this franchise and become a superstar. He's shown no signs of being that guy. He can't even shoot and has no bag whatsoever. His only move is post up and do a hook shot. If he doesn't break out this year he likely never will.
Was saying that Barnes doesn't have that shot. Saying today on y-tube that Wagner has that shot, and caught flack. But Wagner might come out of that rookie class with the highest ppg. But this is why, the Magic 2.0 idea is a good one. 18 points, 8 a, and 8 r. That's a decent career. J. Green sure, but Wagner is 6'10". We shall see, but Barnes is too lanky armed to shoot well, and his hands finish "weird". GREAT video Chev!

idk why they think he needs a stepback 3. there are some things you have to seal off while you develop. I dont see why they want him to mimic james harden of all people.

Even Kobe shot only 30% from 3pt at age 22. Playing with Dennis is a game changer. Starters will have clear roles, lesding to more efficiency with better 3 pt looks and overall spacing. I just pray we dont have the worst bench for a third straight. I coulsnt handle that. No way is that going to happen! 😂😮
I was perplexed watching him shooting 4ft back from the 3.
It’s unfortunate that Darko was hired so late bc he needed to set his expectations for these guys this summer. As I see it, Scottie is the four. It’s great that he’s working on his shot like this, but we’re expecting Pascal to be the new meaningful contractor from behind the arc.

i think he has the work ethic but not the right trainer
He's training backwards and doesn't seem to care. Who in management is gonna have ANOTHER talk with him? He's gonna remember when teammates told him to get right as he struggles thinking "why tf ain't this side step 3 I worked on (alone) hitting in game?"
And yeah, his trainer booty too. Raps need to ban him from the facility.
Most training is private, right? This is a non-issue.
He needs a new trainer cuz this “bestfriend trainer” is holding him back.
I hope those vids are just him messing around after his ACTUAL practice. There will be maybe a handful of times a season where he has to do a side step gather 3. GET ON THE DAMN ELBOWS AND BLOCKS
Scottie came in pass and defence first. An offensive bag takes time to develop I am hoping and thinking he is just showing the shot but the good stuff he isn’t making public for strategic reasons. As a guard he does need some sort of 3 point shot to help with spacing imo. This is why I love him as a point forward, he doesn’t need to stress over shooting so much.
How is it ok for OG to want a bigger role and his handling is as bad as Scottie's shooting but its ok. Pascal wanting to be top 5 and while clearly the best raptor he relies on Iso too much and making difficult shots. Everyone on the team wants a bigger role and that is what killed chemistry. But the youngest guys are the ones with the highest likelihood of taking leaps. Why can't he be more than a Draymond is he is able to achieve more?
He got too much in his bag to be trying all the hard stuff. Just keep it simple.
