He’s Kobe fucking Bryant. He would be dominant and a top five player in the league if not the best. All this Kobe slander is absolutely fucking wild… dude’s been gone for a few years and people act like he played in the 1950s

    Good analysis by Jason Timpf.

Kobe was a dog. One of the most dominant midrange games in NBA history. So technically skilled and motivated to meet the moment.

One thing that’s always amazing to me is the folks at r/nba knocking Kobe down for advanced efficiency metrics.

In an NBA where efficient offense wasn’t the focal point and a more physical defense was permitted.

Casuals will trot out Kobe’s 55% TS. Remind them that Tim Duncan also had that percentage, and Mr. Fundamental played even closer to the rim than Bean.

Absolutely still dominant, his technical skill obviously is still great enough. But more importantly the reason i believe he can adapt to any era, is that Kobe had a much better grasp of the fundamentals of the game something that is hardly coached to American youth nowadays before making it to the NBA. The man consumed game film and studied his opponents like no other. Man was an absolute basketball nerd his entire time here.
