@benrogers you are not realizing that siakam may not want to extend but rather play out the season trying to get his supermax in getting all nba this year. assuming siakam will extend is kind of being naive, why would siakam extend if he has a chance to get all nba and a supermax in toronto.
@ben rogers you also missed the news that Jeff Dowtin rights was traded to delaware blue coats for mat mclung and gleague 2nd round pick. dowtin is gone.

We don't know the inner works of the relationship between Masai and Pascal, just reports on rumors, for all we know Masai might have already spoken to Pascal about getting more money by holding out on extensions as long as he keeps working and improving…. Pascal's a hard worker Masai knows that and might just want him to work for a supermax

The problem with this entire argument is that there is zero reason for Siakam to extend because if he makes another All NBA team he can get the supermax. And that would be a massive amount of money to pay especially if the Raptors don’t make the playoffs again next year.

Siakam doesn’t want to resign right now. I am pretty sure he’s waiting to get as much money as he can in the off-season next year.
Lol. A Siakam extension is more about he has a chance to get a super max next offseason more than Toronto's interest to extend him. Makes absolutely no sense for Siakam to sign an extension. Him wanting to stay is about the fact Toronto is the only team that can give him that super max, if traded – he can't be offered a super max money anymore even if he achieve all NBA status..
Let's be realistic, there's not much value for Siakam being he's basically an expiring deal that openly said won't guarantee commitment to whoever trades for him. Obviously he don't want to get traded YET, he's trying to get super max money. In whole, the trade market is kinda low in general, teams don't really want to overpay for anybody. Think the trade market got affected with those Gobert, Mitchell even Murray trades that teams overpaid for them thinking of a deep playoff run but ended up a 1st round exit. Lastly, any team that wants to trade for Siakam is trying to upgrade their roster and make Siakam their #2 guy, so packages will revolve around draft picks and quality young players, don't expect much big names coming back..
We need Pascal. There are some Raptors fans who think he should go, but IMO they are ill advised. Pascal is so valuable to our team. I think things will go much better this year. He's a RAPTOR!!! Agree with Ben for sure!

Pascal doesn't want to be extended. He wants to earn his All-NBA and get his supermax. Even if he can pull it off, Raptors would be crazy to give him that sort of contract at this point in his career.
Im willing to trade Siakiam for Griffin, Bogdan and Okungwu. We dont need bufkin. However Atlanta will have to give up either Bufkin or Okungwu. Siakiam needs to go asap. You must be a fool for wanting to give Siakiam the Supermax. If your name isnt Vince Carter or Kawhi you aint getting no supermax. Griffin has potential and Okungwu is future defensive player of yhe year.

Atlanta will just wait and sign Pascal when he’s a free agent at the end of the season. Raps are probably going to lose him for nothing as well as OG and Gary. Dark times are coming after 2024 for this team.
Even if you want to extend PS he will not sign because he wants to try for all NBA. We need to extend GTJ and PS. I would even offer it to OG but really think he will want to try Market.

We all know what the next contract is going to look like for pascal. I personally like him as a player. Just not at the price. If the team feels the same they need to extract some kind of value out of him while they can. Can’t keep letting assets walk for nothing
Can't expect the Hawks to give up their future for a 29 year old who may not make them that much better and more importantly he probably won't re-sign with them.
