Dariqq Whithead is a great long term project for Brooklyn to invest in given the versatile scoring ability and sound fundamentals he possesses.
As far as this season goes seeing him healthy is what's most important and seeing him build up in the g league and get some run at the end of the season would be a successful season for him…..
A healthy Dariq has all the potential…
As far as the KPJ drama is concerned it's horrific the recent news that's come out and his time in the league does look in serious jeopardy. (This type of conduct should never be allowed in any sport or part of life period)…..
As far as Houston offsetting his contract and potentially adding second round draft picks and even a first round draft pick would be the necessary things to offer to any team willing to take him back and remove him from the team right afterwards.
Brooklyn should definitely stay away from this considering the negative publicity it could bring…
But if there is a multiple team deal going on where Brooklyn could offset an expiring contract for some more draft capital then that's something that could be discussed if Brooklyn is not taking back KPJ's contract.
I also think with Noah Clowney long term development and Nic Claxton getting a big pay raise next season Dayron Sharpe's role on this team is another question mark.
It felt like towards the second half of last season Sharpe seemed to figure some things out on defense and definitely improved on the offensive side and showed signs of figuring it out.
However with the backup center role up for grabs this season Sharpe has the most to prove to show he's ready for a role on this team going forward….

Kevin Porter Jr is going to be suspended for about a year from the NBA. Maybe longer – D Whitehead is more NBA ready than people think because of his skill set one dribble pull up two dribble pull-ups side step pull up He's not only a score, he's a shooter if he got drafted any higher he probably would be starting on that team or coming of the bench -well I don't think he's going to get any burn this year thou
If the allegations against KPJ are true, that is real scumbag behavior on his part and no one should touch him esp the Nets. Even if it's to immediately cut him. The PR would be ugly even to simply be a part of this deal. He's going to be tied up in court on criminal as well as potentially civil charges depending on the extent of her injuries. Just stay away, that's my 2 cents
Great Pod guys esp for September! I can listen to D.Whitehead talk daily. Talkin about the Dinwiddie loss(to Dal), Cam Thomas & KPJ retrieving pick. Personally I would put three 30yr olds on table to recoup Hou assets. Id even trade Cam Johnson for KPJ & our 2024 & 2026 1st rd picks

For me when you think about players that the nets let walk out the door, I usually don’t care that much however based on what happened to the Nets culture I would say letting guys like Caris, Dinwiddie, LeVert and Jarrett Allen and most recently Bruce Brown leave definitely did a lot of damage to the culture of the team and then letting guys like James Harden Fill that void and I think that was a mistake from a culture standpoint. You let a lot of really good dudes walk out of the door for a bunch of knuckleheads. And now they’re doing a complete 180 and trying to go back to that when they could’ve just kept that instead of listening to Kyrie Irving and making that trade. However, as much as I like Allen, does Claxton become who he is if Jarrett Allen is still on the team? I think so because I think a team with Jarrett, Allen and Claxton might have resolved a lot of the rebounding and size issues that this team has. Maybe Claxton develops more offensively if he’s not forced to pretty much fill the void that Allen left.
So in sum you went from a bunch of team first guys to a bunch of ME first guys I’ll be it more talented but that was a disaster.
Let me get this straight the nets should consider capitalizing on a terrible situation with Kevin Porter after backing off, signing Udoka over a consensual staff relationship over the optics? This situation with Kevin Porter is 10 times worse. It’s worse.
Cam Thomas Does Nothing Good Beside score and he has to dominate the ball in order to be effective and struggles to play in a off ball team oriented offense. I would trade him with no hesitation.
