Thankfully we’re over a month until the regular season start so Alvarado should be able to return for the season but this of course adds to the psychological scar tissue that exists surrounding the Pelicans camp. The positive news is that the injuries could’ve obviously been worse. And it isn’t Zion.
Let’s hope both Jose and Trigger Trey are out there asap because we want to see the Pels at full strength this season, such a fun team. And they are critical pieces to what has been a very good bench the last two seasons.
This is an opportunity for Kira Lewis early in camp to re-announce himself as a player–another Pels player who suffered major injury. Let’s see if he can potentially earn himself a role with a strong camp even when Jose comes back for the season.
