I think it might be Brooklyn. They don’t own any of their draft picks for the next few years, their core isn’t as young as people think, and they need a point guard. I really didn’t do any research on what their books look like or what contracts they could send out besides Ben Simmons, which lol, so I don’t even know if they could realistically offer anything worthwhile, but I do know that they certainly don’t lack wing depth, which would intrigue Portland more than a score-first guard like Herro.
Also, they were rumored to be in on Herro, so maybe that was their way of trying to get intel on what the Heat are offering for Dame so that they know what to beat (tinfoil hat szn).
