Damian Lillard: “As far as Golden State, I respect what they’ve been doing & that’s home, but I can’t go be a part of that. They already won 4. Have somebody that play my position that’s, behind LeBron, the best player of this era. I lose every year before I go…If I was KD, I wouldn’t have joined”

“So instead I’m going to take the *second* hardest road by joining the team that’s made 2 of the last 4 Finals and 3 of the last 4 ECFs”

    Also Damian Lillard:

    >“The (Real) Hardest Road.”

Lmao r/nba getting their panties in a bunch over everything Dame does is fucking hilarious

  4. graveyeverton93

I get what he means, but he’s literally trying to force a move to the most successful east team of the last 5 years without him.

See the reason this kind of statement doesn’t work is not only because the heat is among the best teams in the league rn. But also because even if the warriors sign Dame instead of KD at any year it’s still not a guaranteed ring lol with KD it was for sure and that made his move extra bitchy.

  6. hypercafspazz

This reeks. Not sure when this was recorded but dang man. This dude is out here criticizing KD for doing what he’s actually in the middle of doing.

I don’t even know what to think at this point.

    > Have somebody play my position that’s, behind LeBron, the best player of this era.

Dang, that’s gotta sting for all the KD stans on here who still argue he’s better than Steph.

KD joined GSW in free agency. He picked the nets as a free agent, but sign and trade got it done. He asked out of the Nets, but didn’t ask to be traded to one specific contender, and was willing to play after the initial demand. And each time he was traded KD delivered a haul

KD lived up to his contractual obligations and controlled his destiny.

Dame lillard on the other hand got paid for 4 years and asked for a trade to one and only one team. The heat may not be a juggernaut but they made 2 of the last 4 finals and seem to be offering lowball for trade

And in this message, steph being better than Dame, established and playing the same position comes up a bit too strongly

  9. mcknightrider

Just straight up saying Durant a bitch for going to Golden state haha

  10. I look at Miami’s roster last 3 years and I think it’s super just above average and that’s it

  11. DEEZLE13

A move to the Heat not even comparable to what KD did lmao

  12. FredroTheHomie

Dame is clearly going through some cognitive dissonance.
    Ya hate to see it.

  13. So you go to a team that’s won their conference two times in the last four years?

  14. stupididity

Lmao come to the Hornets then you coward

  15. Kriss-Kringle

I click play and all of a sudden I see Cam’ron hosting a podcast dressed like he about to go to a wedding, lmao. When did he get into this niche?

  16. jaker0315

I’m starting to prefer what KD did to whatever this shit is.

  17. ponder_grace

What a sack of horseshit. I know they legalized drugs, but how many is he on at once? How is what GS does, any different than what what he wants to do in Miami? He bites in KD running from the grind while he plots his own escape from the grind

  18. millennialsnob

Dame is becoming more annoying with every story.

  19. donterdoo

Who is approving these media appearances for him lmao dude just stop talking

  20. AtreusIsBack

it’s easy for him to flaunt shit statements like that because he knows his chances of ever winning the title are all over. He’s just projecting because he knows he fucked up when he stayed in Portland with this contract. You wanted the money, now sit down and shut up. Stop projecting your insecurities.

  21. KD joined the team that just lost in the finals. Lillard wants to join… the team that just lost in the finals.

  22. CukeIckPLoblah

    How is Miami any different?
MF just wants a tax break.
His **grind** is startin to look like a *mild rubbing*….

  23. GillbergsAdvocate

He already loses every year so I guess we’re in a possible timeline where he joins GS

  24. BrolysFavoriteNephew

But the Heat who’ve been to the finals twice and ECF 3x in the last 3 seasons isn’t close to being the same?

  25. demsouls

This dame stuff is getting a bit tiring. No one even wants to trade for him unless it’s a fire sale. Watch he manages to move and IMMEDIATELY flame out. He old.
