Would trading for Buddy Hield make sense/be worth it?

[Shams just tweeted](https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1704620839814013140) that the Pacers are looking to trade Hield now that contract extensions stalled. We could always use more shooting, and he shot 43% from 3 last year. Do you think trading for him makes sense? Would we have to give up too much?

  1. Wouldn’t be against it. We already signed Donte but tbh if he fine with an RJ for Hield trade

    I saw that.

    My 2 initial thoughts:

1-Straight up for Fournier probably wouldn’t be enough, but the money matches up. I don’t know what to add to that deal. A first seems too much, and a 2nd does’t seem enough.

2-Hield has been on the trade block his whole career, it seems.

Besides that, I’m all about Hield. Miami shot NY’s lights out in the playoffs. Hield and DiVincenzo off the bench are solid weapons.

    Jalen/IQ

    Grimes/Hield

    RJ/Hart/DDV

    Julius

    Mitch/Hartenstein/Simms

is a top 3 deepest team in the East, and the idea of a closing 5 of that can essentially all make threes except Hart (who we could switch with RJ) in Jalen/Hield/Grimes/Hart/Julius has me wet. We beat Miami if we have Hield shooting 40% on his 3pt attempts in the second round. not to mention Hield is a solid desirable throw in to any future embiid/luka trade. I’d love it for Fournier + multiple seconds

I would absolutely LOVE it if we traded for Buddy Hield

I know we already has sort of logjam with these wing players but Buddy is an all time great 3 point shooter and would be awesome for us

Don’t we have like 5 shooting guards?
