The more I’ve thought about, the more I think Trent + Gradey + Precious + picks beats out the Miami deal. See if a team like the Rockets are willing to give up a protected first for Gary, then send some of the filler to Phoenix (Boucher, Otto, or Thad) to help Portland get Ayton. Portland ends up with Gradey, Precious, Ayton + 3 firsts. That beats Miami’s offer

Bruh imagine if Trent is the centerpiece in a trade back to Portland for Lillard.

Calling it now: The Raptors package offered is/will be Trent (Blazers expressed interest in bringing him back at the deadline in 2022), Precious and 2 firsts, 1 swap

Salary filler needed of course but I don’t expect Masai and co. to overpay for a disgruntled star whose been actively lowering his trade value – and seemingly has no plans to stop

Not saying the Blazers accept this but I’m expecting the Raptors FO to decline trading one of, if not, both Anunoby and Scottie when they originally planned to pivot into a retool around those two

    Hm….

So we start Lillard, OG, Barnes, Siakam, Poeltl?

Schroder and nobody off the bench?

We have alot of skillset overlap with OG, Scottie anf Siakam.

I’d think one of them makes the most sense to go, I believe it’s OG.

Scottie is still on Rookie deal for 2 years, Pascal is more of a second star then OG or Scottie, more likely we could convince Dame to stay.

I really like OG but if we can sell high and turn him into Dame, we have to. He’s a great player but he will be commanding 35+ next year and is a player who barely plays 60 games a season.

Portland seemed very high on him.

    OG and Trent+

    Or

    OG, Thad, Boucher

Something along these lines make sense

Right but the problem is as soon as they realize that’s all we will give a dozen other teams will seize the opportunity. So it will be OG or Barnes, and my money is in Barnes.

Dame is turning 34 and has his first good season in a while last season while his team was in the lottery. I’m not trading Scottie plus a bunch of other players to make salaries match for a 34 year old.

If the FO knows OG won’t re-sign then include him in a package for dame.
