Will Masai pull it off again?

Poeltl was a promising young centre we were sad to lose and DeRozan was a key piece of the core, but Masai took a chance on Kawhi. It was hard to see them go but worth it in the end. Now we’re seeing the possibility of losing a promising young sharpshooter in Dick and a core piece in OG for a shot at a deep playoff run with Dame. Will Masai do it again?

    Demar + Lillard + Kawhi + Jak + Siakam as starting 5

  2. Here is an idea: Blast me if you want: (I am a Blazer fan)

BLAZERS RECEIVE: Ayton, Barnes, Young, Porter Jr, DJ Wilson

    RAPTORS RECEIVE: Damian Lillard

    SUNS RECEIVE: Nurkic, Boucher, Flynn

Raptors part with Barnes but get to keep OG, Achiuwa, GTJ, Dick, and Koloko. Obviously the knee-jerk is going to be, “no way we aren’t giving up Barnes,” but I truly think OG needs to stick around for it to make sense chasing Dame.

A starting 5 of Dame, GTJ, OG, Siakam, and Jak is a lot better and more balanced than Barnes in there instead of OG. With Barnes instead you only have 2 shooters in the lineup. That spacing ain’t gonna work IMO. I get the contract stuff, I get the potential of Barnes, but the goal is to win right now if you trade for Dame. Why would TOR not want to put the best possible roster around him and Pascal? I feel like if you are gonna push in the chips, you push them ***all the way in.*** Oh, and you give up zero picks in this scenario cause Scottie is the prize. So you then keep the more balanced roster and better compliment to your two stars, plus you keep all your picks for making more moves mid season for the Title Push. Still not wanting to pay OG? Just use your treasure trove of picks and pursue other assets at the deadline.

Thoughts? I assume it will just be lots of downvotes cause Scottie is your baby boy but just thinking about how much better OG would be for that lineup as well as my obvious bias of wanting the younger player next to our new young bloods of Scoot and Shae.

Or he does nothing again – and OG walks for nothing.

Dame is looking sick in a raps jersey

I have no idea how that would make us contenders. Dame is no Kawhi, the rest of the team isn’t nearly as good as back then. We’d probably be competitive in the east tho.

I’m not sure what it’s going to take for fans to understand that Lillard has never and will never have the same impact as Kawhi.

For a franchise under 30 years old we already have an impressive alumni of players, if we get Dame it becomes that much more impressive.

  8. FolloMiSensi

yall nephews are tripping. dame is good but not Kawhi good. kawhi also had better players around him, mans where already 50 win team.

Moving OG in the trade for Dame makes this such a dumb move by Toronto.

The raptors are not much better subtracting OG and other pieces and then adding Dame than they are now.

If the raptors want to go all in, you make the trade and include Scottie and keep OG.

That is the only way this makes any sort of sense from Toronto’s perspective.

Barnes to Dame 10 assists a game Bars

  11. lmao this situation is entirely different from kawhi

  12. So If they trade dick, we get him back, a bit more polished in 3-4 yrs?
