    He’s too old, doesn’t make us contenders and we’d have to gut our bench or trade RJ to get him. No sir.

    I feel like Grimes gives us what we’d get for him at maybe 80% but way more cost. Just stick with Grimes for now because we’re not getting him for cheap. They want picks that we should be using for a bigger trade imo

    He’s a win now guy that doesn’t move the needle for us as far as making us more of a contender even if he does make us better. Why reduce the assets that you’ve been compiling for a real big move on something like that?

    Brain Windhorst on Get up on ESPN said the Blazers are looking for a lot of picks with a Holliday trade. If this is true then that has to put the Knicks in the conversation. They’d probably want someone like Quickley or Grimes and like 3 or 4 first round picks.

    I’d much rather do a trade where we give up a lot of our picks rather than a trade where we have to gut our team and give up picks.

    I don’t think he lines up with our timeline, like at all. And you’d have to pay him.

    But to the ‘can’t deal RJ’ crowd,

    Just out of curiosity, if RJ is the primary player involved in a trade going out, what’s a name that you believe is in the tier of players who could come back?

    I know it’s not that simple here, but I’m trying to understand where people value RJ in a vacuum.
