  1. Ray Allen with the Larry Hughes money probably gets it done. LeBron wouldn’t commit to Cleveland though, so he got what he got.

  2. Well Kidd is comfortably the best player here. Multiple finals appearances as the best player on his team in the first place. Ray Allen certainly *fits* better. So one of those two, but my vote would probably be Kidd because unless the fit is *terrible*, talent typically outweighs it

Ray Allen was what 05-06? Ya, that changes our playoff outcomes. Stoudemire, despite what the internet tells everyone, wasn’t as close but would have helped against the Celtics and ultimately the Lakers. Both help us win a title.

Bibby was too soon, Kidd was too late and doesn’t move the needle against the Celtics, Redd was a walking injury. Not sure Joe Johnson becomes the player we need vs those Celtics teams.

Would have loved to have Ray Allen. Also, screw Boozer.

Ray Allen definitely with Kidd as a close second

If boozer stays and we trade for one of Allen/Johnson Lebron gets a ring pre-2010

All those players were way better than peak Mo Williams.

Ray Allen moves the needle the most IMO

  9. Refusing to give up JJ Hickson for Amare still hurts.

Getting Ray Allen (and also keeping him from Boston) gets us probably two rings.

My thing is getting Iguodala in the 2004 draft. Unfortunately he was taken a pick before and we got… Luke Jackson with the only post-LeBron lottery pick.

Retain Carlos Boozer and we have a sleeper chance against the Spurs
