ESPN on Instagram: “Over the last 15 months, four superstars reportedly had the Heat on their shortlist of preferred destinations: Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, and Bradley Beal. Miami did not make a deal for any of them.”
Like us, they are doing things right. Make solid offers and see where the chips fall. Some of the picks and prospects being given up for older stars will come back to bite teams hard.

Lol I can’t stand the Heat. Up there with Boston in terms of knoblets.

And yet, the Heat have been more successful lately than teams with Durant, Lillard, Mitchell and Beal.

Waiting for Barnes to breakout at 56%TS

They have limited assets and gutting the team will make them move backwards.
Hard to criticize a team that’s went to 2 finals And ecf appearance in 4 years lol
RedRocket13
Idgi does another team that’s been to the ECF 3 of the last 4 years not making any moves make it any less inexcusable that our team has absolutely no direction?

The Heat have definitely outcasted Tyler Herro. Masai and Riley don’t overpay, and they don’t jump the gun. It can be frustrating at times though. I’d assume more so for Heat fans because they should expect to get more guys based on the fact that their weather is amazing and they pay less taxes.

how easy it must be for a big market team.
Konfliction
Who the hell says “Masai and Bobby missed on superstars” ?
The most criticism I hear right now is they can’t make up their minds about what this team is, and refuse to trade guys when they’re value is highway and let them walk.
I’ve never heard Masai ever criticized for that lol

The difference is players want to go too miami
Players don’t want come to Toronto lol
Heat been to finals 6 times in past 11 years
To even compare us to them is blasphemy
Barnicus53
And Miami has been to the finals two out of the past four years, lol. This isn’t the own you think it is 😂.
Raptors fans get so fucking obnoxious trying to project their misery onto other players and franchises to compensate for the roster and front office being mediocre since 2020. It’s pathetic.

The heat are located in miami which is one of the top 5 most desirable markets for nba players. Secondly, their roster is a lot more talented than ours. I dont see how this is a good comparison at all.

Idk what this post blossomed to all this was intended to show was how silly it is to whine everytime your favourite team doesn’t do what you want. A lot of people have taken this as a dig at Miami or defence of the front office.
Zestyclose-Beach1792
Miami went to the finals last year. I would never dream of shit talking their organization.
TayOs1998
Y’all really gonna clown on Miami with the sorry excuse of a roster that we have
Graiello
I think most peoples issue w Masai and the Raps post championship isn’t the lack of blockbuster trades, it’s the lack of apparent direction, the poorly constructed team, and the many players that have walked for nothing. Miami is very different in that respect.
Devo198989
It’s funny how all of these players say they want to play in Miami only when they’re on contract with another team.

Man I wonder if we can do something about the tax thing here, that way we can attract some super stars

We’re calling Beal and Mitchell Superstars now?
The word has lost all meaning
