As a bucks fan they should’ve traded Middleton. I truly wished we held onto Holiday.
As for your question, the Bucks sacrificed way too much. They don’t have any depth but they do have the floor spacing for the bench and around Giannis since he is the focal point of the offence and defence. They brought in Dame for more scoring since Middleton was out for most of last season. It sucks to lose a lot of defence for just a one way player. The Bucks did get a lot better on one side of the ball, but we lost 2 of the 3 most important part of defence in depth and defence. Although I love the Bucks, I just wished they either traded away Middleton or at least kept 2 first rounders instead if giving up our future.
Jrue Holiday is one of the best defenders at his position… cant be overlooked what he brings to the table.. that said. Bucks vs Nuggets NBA Finals would be amazing
If Dame stays healthy, it'll be big for the Bucks. But if he gets injured, Bucks will be dealing with some issues. I think getting rid of Jrue was a bit much for the Bucks. They need that guy almost as much as they need Giannis. But not sure the trade would've went through if they replaced Jrue with Middleton. I'm no Bucks fan, but if this team stays fully healthy, they can very well be a powerhouse in the league.

Everybody saying the Bucks should have traded Middleton is missing the fact that he was ineligible to be traded because they had just signed him.
Also, the defense will be fine. Bucks were a top 5 defense last year. They can slide quite a bit and still be a top 10 defense. The bucks were 15th on offense, and dame is basically a top 10 offense by himself. I predict they are a top 10 offense and a top 10 defense.
Perimeter defense is a luxury and not a necessity in the modern NBA. Good defenses are built from the inside out and the bucks still have a great interior defense.
We all wish we could’ve kept jrue. There was no market for Middleton. We HAD to deal jrue. But it was worth it. We wouldn’t have traded Jrue for ANYONE else.
Jrue's scoring has been sus. That's probably the biggest reason for him getting traded. But the offense from Dame will be special. If both teams are healthy, I'm expecting a Nuggets vs Bucks finals. That would be a win for the entire league.
This is just not fair. We are in for a ride. We have a team that can compete with the Nuggets. Injuries aside, I see the bucks and the nuggets at the finals.
