– Josh Green contract extension talks have not progressed, with an October 24 deadline for the teams to reach an agreement. Green said he wants to remain with the Mavs for a long time, but there has been no Mavericks news on Green as of yet.
– The Mavericks took Dereck Lively II with the 12th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, and Jason Kidd has former Maverick Tyson Chandler mentoring Lively during the NBA offseason. Will Lively be the starting center alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving?
