Anthony Davis: “I’m thankful for the Lakers to commit to me. I owe it to them to put my body on the line every night…. Hopefully I’ll be in those MVP conversations. Helping the guys out, not leaving it all on LeBron.” (h/t @Klutch_23)

He bristled at the idea that he did more this summer like Rob and Darvin kinda indicated, but I’m glad to hear him reciprocate that we paid him so he wants to perform for us. I think fans sometimes underestimate how many of these dudes are more than happy to take their cash and go home without trying.

Just play safer. We don’t need you attempting to do a 360 jumping rebound where you sprain your ankle because there’s a person standing in your way. Just go straight up for your rebounds, don’t jump across the courtside seats to save a ball in a regular season game, and don’t be so reckless. That’s all we’re asking. Literally a majority of AD’s injuries are because he’s playing too recklessly and taking unnecessary risks that have a high likelihood at ending up injuring himself.

Edit: Damn I guess I pissed someone off lol

It’s funny how some y’all think you care more about the team than he does 🤣

This quote sounds like if ChatGPT took all of his critiques and crafted the perfect response.
Gotta say the right things before doing the right things though, so I’ll take this as a W. Let’s see how it translates on the court.

Super grateful for AD. Even when he’s having rough offensive nights. This dude impacts a defense the way any one of these others superstars impact an offense.
