Kyle Lowry spoke to the Miami Heat media today after the first Heat training camp practice…and said he expects himself to be the Heat starting point guard come opening night against the Detroit Pistons. Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra was noncommittal towards Lowry starting, and could bring Kyle Lowry off the Heat bench. Lowry came off the bench for the Heat during the 2023 NBA Playoffs, and provided valuable minutes for the Heat’s second unit.

    The problem I have with Lowry is he regressed hella quick. He went from a solid starter borderline all-star guy when we got him to a third option at PG. …oh, and that's a hard pass on Harden😂i'd rather just wait for Lowry's contract to expire and let the younger guys develop this season.

    Honestly, it doesn’t even matter at this point every team for the most part got better don’t get me wrong I like Richardson and I’m a big Hoosier fan so I love Thomas Bryant but this off-season has been a failure and it hurts

    all of these trades are terrible for the heat, why give up defense when it's what brought you to the finals in the first place, signing someone like john wall and another big, then waiting to get off Kyle's contract next year is what would be best for the heat. you dont just go and down grade or do something to harm your team just cause portland didnt wanna play ball

    May I ask why does Detroit do that deal? What are they getting out of it? Especially since the trade suggestion asks for both Bojan and Morris. Detroit is not planning on tanking and little use for Kyle Lowry's expiring contract especially since Detroit already can create significant CAP space this summer again.
