The official training camp roster was released yesterday. It was posted by u/Rolling_Typhoon here: https://reddit.com/r/ripcity/s/HxCQ2wyLlD
The post was quickly buried amongst the other media day news. I thought it warranted more discussion. I saw multiple comments on other posts referencing players who are listed on the blazers roster by various websites, who are not on the traing camp roster. Presumably these players will not be on the roster, but maybe the Remix.
My thoughts that I posted as a comment yesterday:
I count 21 total. 11 guaranteed contracts, 3 two ways, 2 non-guaranteed, and 5 camp deals.
Non-guaranteed are Walker and Brown. I would think Walker is 100% making the team. With bringing in 2 centers via trade, Brown is likely fighting for his spot.
That’s 11 guaranteed+Walker, leaving 3 open roster spots.
It seems likely we keep either Brown or Reath as a 3rd center. I prefer Reath here. I also think it’s likely Knox is back.
I’m not sure any of Davis, Minaya, or Smith take the last roster spot, or if it’s left open. Might need it if we take 2 back in a Brogdon trade.
Rotation is debatable, and guys will definitely see minutes at multiple positions. I see it something like this:
Scoot/Brogdon
Ant/Thybulle
Sharpe/Murray/Knox/Rupert
Grant/Walker/Camara
Ayton/Williams/Reath
2 Ways: Mays, Butler, Badji

I like the energy Manaya brings. Hopefully he can land a roster spot.
Knox did media day, so I’d be surprised if he didn’t make it. I think going by contract situations, Brown is more likely than Reath to make the roster, though I think Reath is the better player. I suspect we will keep the 15th spot open for trade flexibility (taking in 2 guys in a Brogdon deal for example) but I would be okay with Minaya getting it just as another wing sized guy to try out.
Look how tall we are!!!!
