He also mentioned that the moment he knew that he belonged in the NBA was the game against the Hawks. Specifically, when he and Giannis went on a fast break and Giannis passed him the ball for the finish, instead of going for it himself.
He also mentioned that the offense involves a lot more action and getting all five guys involved, instead of camping out in the corners waiting for a shot.
If he can just give us solid defensive minutes everything he does on offense is just a bonus
It’s interesting how he says the coaching / practice feels way different. Also hinted at Bud taking him out too much after picking up fouls
I can see him becoming the 5th starter as the season plays out
Imaging having a Marjon breakthrough year and a serviceable Crowder..
One thing I always loved about MarJon’s game is his confidence when he attacks off the catch, ideallly in DHOs on the perimeter. If his gap awareness increases just a bit, he could be a double digit scorer for us just off attacking gaps off ball, transition buckets, and hitting open threes.
His overall demeanor between now and last year is night and day. You can tell he’s more comfortable opening up.
