No one will ever replace Gorman, we can’t think of it that way. Voice seems good, seems to get excited not just narrate things like a robot, I fucks with it

  2. notJGatz

Him and Gorman would’ve been an elite combo

voice is one thing charachter is another. he reminds me a bit of the hornets broadcaster and not sure if thats something that i want to listen through 82 games.

Idk I’m getting coked out Raptors broadcasting vibes

You’d think with the reaction on here and twitter that they literally just picked some random kid out of school and gave him the job. He may be young but he’s quickly climbed the ranks and is good at his job.

What a voice – I’m looking forward to it. Seems to be pretty expressive. I always prefer the local NBCS broadcasts, but its going to feel so strange without the deep Celtics knowledge of Mike. Hopefully he comes in and does a deep dive on the history

    We’ll see/hear.

This is not enough of a sample to be impressed or discouraged.

Besides, since Tommy passed, I just turn the volume way down and put on some music over the top of the game play because the commentary is usually just so…. lame.

SMDH. Scal is gonna be the ‘seasoned’ broadcaster

I feel a little bit ridiculous saying this, but I really want my main Celtics play by play guy to have a medium to strong Boston accent. Part of the appeal of listening to Gorman is that he sounds like my family, folks I grew up with watching Cs games

Sounds alright but generic. I’ll miss the Boston accent.

  11. Tastic4ever

I bet the Celtics are hoping in 40 years he is still here and the fans feel the same way about him as we do Mike.

Is he replacing gorman this year or next?

  13. DumpsterGeorge

He legitimately has a Syracuse broadcasting voice, they all sound exactly the same

Can’t believe the meteoric rise this dude has had. I work with him at ESPN, and remember questioning not that long ago where he came from, since he looks really young. Went from the ACC network to some ESPN games and now suddenly is going to replace one of the most iconic broadcasters of all time. That is just crazy, good for him.

In my brief experiences with him, he seems good!

I’m just glad it’s not Kyle Draper

So Grande stays on the radio? Poor Wallach.

  17. ProofSinger3638

He sounds exactly like every other broadcaster. Why is anyone hyped for this? its beyond me

  18. Wow I’m legitimately impressed.

Glad we got him before the WWE did.
