Bruce Arthur on The Toronto Raptors

  1. I think the fans are disgusted at what they saw , realizing how your manager doesn't make decisions , this could be the reason why your team seems to have no heart.

  2. Horrible take – lets ignore the fact that no Toronto Team has won a championship since the Blue Jays until the Raptors did. There is only so many years of incompetence the fans will tolerate and so many hollow promises one can take before the fans turn on the organizations themselves.

  3. Toronto fans do tend to over expect from teams & players, and then get angry. This Raptors team will be better this season because they have more depth. However many fans are more worried about the future than just next season. 3 core players may walk as free agents. It is very legit for Raps fans to be upset with the front office, based on the bad decisions they have made since the championship. Also the B.S. from Masai, who said the Raps media exaggerated the teams interest for the Lillard deal. He said that at the recent presser, than a couple of days later Bobby, said they were all in on the Lillard deal.

  4. I agree with John Shannon on one thing- he is old. He also knows little about sports outside of hockey. The Blue Jays fans are not spoiled (the team has not won a World Series in 30 years), and most teams post-1993 were not legit contenders. The Raptors were either bad in the regular season or terrible in the playoffs for the most part until 2019. Many fans, even younger fans, remember some of those teams. They're not spoiled. I am happy a new generation in Toronto has grown up with podcasts where they can listen to NBA content on-demand and not depend upon non-experts on terrestrial radio.
