Can't be loosing your own guys if you only going to pay only a certain amount on a star player it like are really trying to win
I think their ceiling is finals I still think the best team in the league is Denver
They did the right thing. They needed size not a PG. They lost because of size, defense, scoring and depth. They addressed all the issues. The scoring will come because they got players who can play. Last year they had players who didn't play. Victor, Omer, Nikola, and a couple others. I don't like dru smith.
Gabe Vincent shot 33% from 3 last year and is a career 33% shooter. He cannot start next to Bam and Jimmy. This was the problem last season. I’m glad he’s gone so we aren’t the worst 3 point shooting team in the league bc we’re forced to start Gabe
End of day if we brought back gabe and max it would b same team and be very stale….we needed attest this small shake up….possible 4 new players in rotation…could really change the look of this team is shooting returns

Edit: and losing Strus and Vincent isn’t actually losing two starters, he says, because they weren’t penciled in as starters at the beginning of last season?!
I agree we should have resigned Gabe for the amount he was offered. However, if that would have prevented them from trading him until mid year if Portland wanted him. It was Dame or bust for the Heat and they went bust. Time to move on and go with the young guns!
Though he did a an admirable job Gabe is not a starting PG in this league, he's a nice back up who can give your team solid minutes and is a pest defensively but that's about it. He shot poorly during the regular season and got hot in the playoffs, but in the Finals he reverted back to regular season form. I'm gonna miss him but I'm glad we didn't over pay him or Strus, who was another streaky shooter who unfortunately put up 2 goose eggs in the Finals. You can't have a starting backcourt score only 2 points in pivotal game at home nonetheless, that's not good but hey, I wish them well.

Why do they keep measuring based on last year's camp instead of the End of the season roster which was more indicative of how the team was shaped.

Vincent was huge in the playoffs.. let’s not pretend that they wound have made the finals without him. How are they deeper? Love was here and won’t last 1/2 the season… Bryant? Is he a difference maker…. Nope…. This team isn’t deeper.. you can’t lose 2 big minutes guys and replace them with nothing and say that they are deeper.. deep how? You guys are smoking crack….? Jovic has done nothing in the NBA thus far, J-Rich couldn’t get off the bench for Dallas or Bos. Let’s not confuse guys with guys can actually play….
Spo is great but at some point he can’t make chicken salad out of chicken shi+….

Will Spolestra play Jovic & JJJ or is he going to bench them the second they miss a rotation and they don’t see the floor for 5, 6 games? Dolphins are exciting as hell now. Heat can’t just have all the eyes automatically. You can watch Tyreek and Waddle running crazy on the field or 16 foot jumpers from Bam. This whole reg season is irrelevant and will look it on the court. 6, 7 seed at best.
I am not watching Erik spo and pat riley this season, I am watching David becham because he's doing the right thing in the intermiami team. Shame on spo and pat riley for not shopping for more great players.
