The Denver Nuggets won their first NBA championship behind a historic offense built on chemistry and continuity. But there is one pet play in the team’s playbook that was especially unguardable in the playoffs. It’s a play that has roots going back to Peja Stojakovic and the Sacramento Kings of the early 2000s.
Denver Nuggets assistant coach David Adelman shares insight on Rip DHO or “Peja” action, a play that fits Denver’s personnel perfectly. Learn the different ways Denver disguises this action and why other teams can know it’s coming and still concede a wide open dunk or set three-point shot.
Watch as Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray attack against “flat” spacing whenever the play doesn’t work. And see how Aaron Gordon has built chemistry with both guys to run this play over and over and still find new ways to score.

another incredible adam analysis video >>>
I’m so grateful to have been able to watch almost every game last season, it was a work of art. All the Nuggets are good!
Great video, gives me a frame of reference to think about / analyze when watching them this season.
Time to go back to back baby
Nuggets are back baby! Nuggets back to back championships incoming.
Absolutely loved this breakdown. Great stuff. Sending it to all my Nuggets friends.
Another great video
Incredible video. Loved the breakdown!
I love understanding these actions and philosophies. Man NBA defenses are gonna need more than a few offseason “conversations” to slow down the Nuggets Rip DHO 5 headed monster.
Lovely. It is great that this action is inspired by Sacramento Kings, a team that played beautiful game during early 2000.
David Adelman is the goat. He really took us to the next level with his game planning. He truly is a bright mind and the successor if Malone retire.
I love this video but I’m not sure if it’s wise to open up your tactics like this 😅
I've seen so many teams running this play during preseason
2:20 – I love the clip of Joel Embiid just standing there guarding nobody
Enjoyed this explanation… it helps to have the magnificent five with high IQ’s
