I like what he showed but people might be gassing up Swider too much after one preseason game. You’d expect the 22 and 24 year old to be more ready than the 20 year old.
Niko’s game is gonna take some time to translate to the NBA, what gives me hope that he won’t end up like a KZ Okpala for example is he had legit contribution on his national team at age 20, kid’s a hard worker and has clearly bought in to the Heat. Jaime in particular was drafted because they knew he’d be able to contribute now, after a small sample size last game I think Spo is gonna give Highsmith more minutes vs Niko especially with smaller teams.

People are going to single out Jovic or Jaquez struggling at any point in the season. They are transferring the letdown of not getting Dame on to them. They delude themselves into thinking management chose them over Dame. When we just didn’t have enough with or without them. It’s the same thing Herro goes through. They blame him for not being a good enough trade chip to land a star, so they trash him every chance they get.
Personally, I don’t know if Jovic will be successful here. I feel like they aren’t using him properly. He is much better when used as a playmaker. Instead they have him camped out in the corner. Sometimes you have to let a player be who they are. Spo has a tendency to force the system on to the player. Sometimes you have to tweak the system for the player to succeed.
