Pelicans fans acted like Jaxson Hayes has the lowest bbiq in the entire league. I’m not saying he’s starting calibre, but I think he’s made enough decent reads that he is not as bad as that. Mostly, I think Hayes is aware of what he can and cannot do well.

I think pelicans fans expected him to be a rim protector which clearly isn’t one of his skills
He also had to be in lineups with Jose Alvarado/CJ playmaking and expecting him to flourish
It’s clear he knows how to play the role of a big man
