  1. Half of these guys won’t even be top 10 players by the time we’re ready to compete.

15 years from now we’ll sign an aged post prime Shai and announce it with a social media clip featuring that puff daddy song.

  3. Time line wise the only one that makes sense is SGA but OKC has a way brighter future than the raptors

  4. one was available last summer and wasn’t against coming here and people were still against it so good luck

2 straight years of stars being available that are great fits and much needed on the roster but I suppoes the only players wanted here are Shai or giannis

You are much more likely to win a championship by getting a guy who becomes a top 10 guy *after* you got him than by chasing after a guy who is already a top 10 guy, especially one who is *very damn near 40 years old*

Shai 🀲🏼 but idk he didn’t even win the basketball World Cup mvp so..

Besides those wild Kawhi circumstances, when has a top 10 player ever signed here as a FA or got traded here ? There’s your answer

  8. noloveinLA

Giannis, Doncic, Shai or Embiid. Let me dream

Was kawhii even rated in the top 10 the year we won the chip?

It’s not a top 10 guy you need.

There has not been an NBA Champion since 1978 (and only 2 ever) that has not had either a current or former MVP or DPOY on it.

So what we need is a completely dominant player at one end of the floor to win a championship.

Name a star player still in their prime that willingly came to Toronto since the franchise began? Demarre Carroll doesn’t count.

Scottie will be here in 2 years. So that’s your answer.

  13. The top 4 are all international players, nice!

Currently with what we know about the future of most of those guys, two stand out as possibilities to me, both being in trade. Everything with James harden, maybe they end up trading for parts or he sits out,and the constant drama of the sixers over the years, makes him ask for a trade. Same thing goes for Luka with Kyrie and the mavs inability to surround Luka with a great roster.
With either of those two becoming available, I don’t think you’re hearing about Masai not being willing to put OG and even Scottie on the table. Particularly with Luka. Even still you maybe get outbid by the Thunder or whoever else with the bevy of picks at the time.

Too bad the Thunder have something good going on.

The next disgruntled star is Embiid so I vote for him.
