Rob was on the same page as Darvin, both felt that they’d be able to fix Wood. It was the rest of the FO that was nervous about the risk of bringing in Wood.
It’s actually a great read. I had pushed for Wood as the obvious last signing we needed to make, but being a little out of sorts rubbed me the wrong way. I wish he’d been ready immediately, but the article really hammers home how little structure he’s had.
I’m eager to see him in this environment.
At worst he is an upgrade from Gabriel. We won’t lose on this signing.
