[AP] BREAKING: Charlotte Hornets forward turns himself in

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges turned himself in on Friday after an arrest warrant was issued for an alleged protection order violation stemming from a domestic violence case last year.

Bridges turned himself in early in the morning in Lincoln County, a suburb of Charlotte. He was accompanied by his attorney, according to Larry Seagle, the public information officer for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

Bridges appeared before a district court judge and was released on $1,000 bond.

And will still manage to be on the roster opening night

  2. so this is for the January warrant, and not the billiard balls warrant (which has not yet been served)

    > Bridges is also set to be served a criminal summons for an Oct. 6 allegation of violating a protection order, misdemeanor child abuse and injury to personal property.

    > That criminal summons had not yet been served as of Friday morning, per court documents.

Will he get dunked on in prison by the boys?

  4. The Bridges in this league could not be more opposite to each other

If he’s still on the roster by opening night I will have lost a good amount of respect for everyone involved with the Charlotte hornets front office

Shouldn’t have been allowed to bond out. He’s clearly a danger to those around him. Put him in a cage and throw the fuckin’ key away.

  7. knickstapeeee

the hornets need some of that sage that kyrie was burning in brooklyn

I genuinely feel sorry when I see guys wasting their god given talent, their hard work and ofc luck by being total idiots…

When are we gonna start calling a spade a spade?
He obviously has talent but isnt worth the trouble and weve seen exactly what kind of off court choices Miles tends to make.

I’m sorry but that mugshot made me laugh just a bit

Thank you hornets for reminding me that my team can never fuck up this bad 🙏🙏🙏

The league needs to put some initiative on looking into the Hornets organization. For one, they are so far wasting the career (LaMelo) of one of the only talents they’ve been able to actually acquire since Kemba. Secondly, they are actively putting out a product so harmful it’s disrespectful to the fanbase and the local community with all the taxpayer money they have put into the arena through numerous renovations and large scale additions (for essentially only the Hornets benefit!!)

  13. KuyaJohnny

at this point he is just trying to see how many crimes he has to commit before Charlotte cuts him lol

  14. cagemyelephant_

Imagine if the guy is able to play this season

Im with yall that this doofus needs to be out of the league, I just think that’s wishful thinking. Time and time again we have been shown in sports that if you can do cool stuff with a ball, that’s the only thing a lot of teams really care about. Bridges has already done disgusting stuff and was scheduled to be back on the court in a couple months. Sadly I don’t think this is gonna be much different. If not Charlotte, it would be someone else.

  16. usernamesmen

That seems like a very low bail amount.

Charlotte you really haven’t released this dude yet? We released a dude for flashing his dick, and you still have a guy who pummeled and has continued to harass this woman.

  18. Will this hurt Hornets chances to win the championship?

Meyers Leonard: Says a slur word, wanted to be better, made strides to be a better person towards the community he slurred against, nothing

Miles Bridges: Be an actual piece of shit human being, still in an NBA roster

  20. MrPangus

I mean despite all this he’s still making millions is why he hasn’t learned yet

  21. Phew, this is just about Miles Bridges. How things have been going the last couple of years, I somewhat expected PJ Washington to have turned himself in.

  22. TNKYMNKY

Would the Hornets put in some code of coduct clauses in his new contract? Fucking piece of trash person and organisation

  23. tigerpawn

Mitch will cut this guy before the weekend is over.

  24. clutchutch

Saw the headline and wasn’t even sure which Hornets player they were referring to

  25. yOjiMbOoOs

Dude screwed up his life big time. Had a bag coming and fucked it up with less than 24 hrs left to sign the contract

  26. giraffevomitfacts

I understand the the threshold for revoking parole is usually fairly high, ie one fuckup is usually overlooked. But at what point do they just admit he needs to go to prison?

    >Released on $1,000 bond

Damn, next time just slap his wrist and tell him “stop being naughty!!” That’ll teach ‘em 👍
