I’ll never fully understand why so many people hate Ben and are hoping for him to fail… Even some fans of our team I only hated Ben because he played for Philly it was never that deep for me he seems like a cool guy

Ben seems to have struggled with mental health issues. Far beyond the back pain. Fans, who can often be limited track minded, will have a hard time understanding or empathizing unless they’ve had the experience. It’s much easier to hate any player on another team, and or be mad at any player on your team for performing poorly. Ben is looking better, and if he does well in the regular season, then they should like him again. We will see these fans flip over and over again, for any team, any player, almost always. It’s the way of casual sports fandom.
that’s what I’m saying, I only disliked him because he was in Philly but people have been singing his praises. JJ Reddick played with him and said he was a dog, played hard. Dudes this year were saying he was very active and vocal in group chats.
I get Philly fans’ anger. I don’t think I could ever get over hating kyrie. But everyone else sounds silly.
