This video popped up as a recommendation and I thought it was a pretty good analysis of our team this year:
TLDW: We should be a playoff team this season but it’ll be a little while before we’re a contender due to our youth needing time to develop. I think this is a realistic expectation and goes against the idea that we’ll be fighting for a playin spot. What are your thoughts?

Vaguely positive Mavs coverage?? I don’t believe it sorry
This sub doesn’t take well to pessimism and rightfully so. I just have a feeling that this season will disappoint. You can’t put much stock into preseason, however, it hasn’t been good and Luka and Kyrie are already battling injuries. I don’t have much faith in JKidd’s coaching, the Luka/Kyrie fit has questions, and we’re counting on a couple of rookies to improve our defense.

we could be a play-in team. maybe 7th or 8th. but even then, i feel pretty good we can advance
It’s the West. Essentially anyone not a top contender is fighting for anything between 3rd or 4th seed all the way down to 11th and will be separated by a handful of games. Realistically we could have anything from homecourt advantage to being in the playin and no one should be surprised or shocked or disappointed.
