If Nike didn’t make the Kobe era jerseys they probably don’t have the rights to those colors. I remember in college football there was a big deal about Michigan and the color maize. when Nike took over they didn’t have the rights to use that specific shade, and legally had to change it. The Lakers are probably in a similar situation. Unless it was always Nike making those jerseys.
