😂😂😂 they man is funny.
But listen Brad I'm not going to go as far as he did. But I def understand where he is coming from.
The MVP possibility conversation to me comes from the Trae off-ball preseason small sample size and all the endless possibilities that morph in our heads from that.
If you telling me there is a possibility of seeing Ice Trae catch the ball in the short corner for 3 where he can shoot or attack a close out or he catches passes on the run coming downhill on Defenses without them being set or loaded up against him and he has 5 options every time meaning the ability to make a lob, shoot the floater, get all the way to the rim, shoot the 3 or draw and kick in any direction. 😮
There just aren't too many NBA Superstars let alone NBA players that can execute those options on an elite level and flat-out break defenses the way Trae can.
So yeah, if you telling me, the Hawks get 21 ECF playoffs ICE TRAE, but off-ball, and more rested for 65 games or so. I can see an easy 35 pts and 12 assist avg. With Multiple 45pt games and a few 50 burgers.
But again… It more than scoring it would be the ease at which he does it and the ability like Joker to just get multiple people easy buckets because of his gravitational pull.
No defense wants Trae coming down hill in their lane all day.
Nightmare scenario
I believe the hawks can be a 4-6 seed team. Not only was last year mid but they were also pretty snakebitten and “unclutch”. With a modern offense, progression, and Clint not falling off a cliff. They are better than most teams in the east, I refuse to believe the Knicks are better and Philly just has weird vibes this year.
