For the record: I don’t agree with the argument this writer is making. But I think it was important enough to share this perspective and think about how we as a society, and as sports fans, react to these domestic violence cases

Well, the article is behind a paywall, so I can’t read it, but I don’t know why the author is complaining. KPJ was in the league a week ago and is now unemployed – seems like an improvement to me.

  3. what *is* the perspective exactly? it seems they fail to arrive at one.

Domestic violence was in no way commoditized. His misdeeds were brought to light once more by the trade, whereas it would have been quieter to just release him.

Generally I’m all for the Rockets being punished, but I can’t see what exactly anyone but KPJ has done wrong here.

The author complains in the article but doesn’t provide any suggestions for alternatives, it was a mess and a waste of digital ink lol

The definition of making something up to be upset at

Guy literally got kicked out of the league, and may never play in the NBA again. This is a shiny example of how actions have consequences.
