Darvin really didn’t write up any screen actions for LeBron and had him floating around the corner for a ton of the game. It became the DLo/Austin show and it was easily guardable because Denver is just bigger than them. Wore them out quickly.

I get balancing playmaking between Bron/Austin/Dlo/Vincent etc but when Bron telling you he wants to play point you’re not managing the game well enough.

Bizarre that he just schematically ignored emphasis for Bron on ball actions later in the game, especially when DLo and Austin were stinking it up.

LeBron has the worst luck with coaches.

Also, do you know how many AD post up plays Darvin drew up?

    3

Not 3 in a quarter. Not 3 in a half. 3 post up plays for the entire game. 🤦‍♂️

Usually I don’t panic over coaching stuff since we can figure it out but the fact bron has to point this out is insane. And it’s interesting he is telling handy and not ham but maybe I’m over thinking it

I’m guessing the plan is to load manage Bron in game throughout the season by playing him less on ball. We already know what Bron can do, guys like DLO, AR, Gabe gotta get their reps in.

I think if last night was a playoff game, Bron orchestrates more down the stretch and probably doesn’t get taken out in the 4th.

I think it’s very notable that LeBron said this during the game he was mic’d up in. I’m sure he has expressed his desire to play the point in private discussions with coaching staff. This could be a move to put public pressure on them.

Bron is getting frustrated with Ham’s BS.

Fire Darvin Ham! Trade Lebron and AD! Rebuild around Reddish and Wood!

The fact that it’s Game 1 and we already got LeBron having to ask to play point is hilariously sad.

“I’m just floating around” is crazy

  9. It’s only game 1 and LeBron is already voicing his dissatisfaction of Ham’s lineups.

Player rotation is what killed us. It was very evident in the opening game. We have so much fire power but there were a lot of times no one was there to facilitate. Imagine if we had CP3 instead of Gabe.

He’s on restrictive minutes, he’s likely want to play PG more than ever.

Coaching staff wins a ring in 2020 with him at PG and they’re like never again!!!

Bron don’t get along with dlo I could tell on his body language

Bron is closer to who he was in January than who he was in May. He’s rusty but he’s not injured or washed.

I’m in support of limiting his minutes and building the skills of the younger guys/AD. But it’s fucking Lebron james he should be given the opportunity to play like Lebron James.

Ad is more injury prone and inconsistent imo and we should be careful with both, but we can’t win with either of those guys forfeiting what they bring to the table.

Just the first game, at the defending champs ring ceremony so the smallest skewed sample size ever, but hopefully more changes to come.

Him having to ask for the ball more is ridiculous.

Wow humble and respectful even when he doesn’t have to be. Wild that he doesn’t just pull some Kobe shit and do what he wants. He’s the fucking GOAT.
