    this team is young and really fun, the offensive upside is there and the defense has potential (shown in the 2nd half), the chemistry is on point with every single player on the roster, this is gonna be a fun season, go pacers!! 💙💛

    The pace we play with. The depth we have. Is going to make this a really fun year I can already tell we are going to surprise the fuck out of a lot of teams.

    You can tell how much these guys like playing with each other, everyone trying to get people involved, guys on the bench showing love for their teammates. The vibes are sky high.

    NBA teams are not coming with this much effort to play against a team like this every night.

    Takeaways from the pacers opening night:

    1. Fastest team since the nash suns (I don’t know if that’s statistically right but you get my point)

    2. Tyrese had 20 and 11 but it was all superstar ball. His third was pure domination and blew open the game. He played like a min of the 4th

    3. Mathurin is really working on his playmaking and it’s going to cost us a win sometime soon. I think it’s worth it. It’s the worst part of his game and if he can figure it out he becomes the second potential max player here.

    4. Nembhard has taken the backup spot solely from tj.

    5. Bruce brown is a natural fit offensively and defensively. Balled

    6. Buddy played with effort on both sides tonight off the bench. If he plays like this every night, we have some serious scoring depth.

    7. It’s gonna be tough for jarace to get any playing time over obi and nesmith.

    We are so incredibly fun to watch especially compared to 3 years ago, our front office has done incredibly (especially with depth) and I’m so excited. Think we could do some real damage this year. I love this team

    Would’ve been tough to write a better script for the opener (would have written in Jarace and Ben each getting a bucket).

    Mentioned it in the game thread but it feels like we have 7 guys (Benn, Myles, Obi, Bruce, Nesmith, Jalen, and Buddy) that could all be quality scoring options on any given night with Tyrese and Nembhard distributing (and of course being scoring threats themselves). Going to be some nights where some of those guys are quiet while others go off, but it feels good to have good depth and balance.

    People are truly missing out if they don’t watch this team (And because Bally is a pos…).

    I think the most important stat for this team is that no one played more than 28 minutes. If this team is going to run like this all season we need the bench unit to really be able to come in a give the starters a break. Being able to have Nembhard, Buddy and Nesmith come off the bench is huge for us. If we can stay healthy, that is going to be a huge help to us as the season goes on. We will run teams to the bone.
